A Taste of Missions (ATOM) PDF Print E-mail

A.T.O.M. is a unique cross-cultural exposure trip to Calvary Training Center only 25-minutes south of the United States border, but also a world away. The Friday evening to Sunday afternoon trip is designed to give attendees a bite-sized taste of missions. It is good for a church or fellowship group that is looking to be exposed to missions or as a prerequisite for a church preparing for a short-term mission trip. Adding to the cross-cultural experience, our Mexican cook will prepare four real Mexican meals. These weekends are exhausting! Groups receive missions teachings on culture and relationship, tour local missionary ministries, take taxis into Tijuana for a cultural excursion scavenger hunt and stay up late in prayer and worship. Doors open for almost every group to perform some ministry during their time at Calvary Training Center. Groups end the weekend with by worshipping God in a Mexican church and cross the border back to the United States about 2pm. It is our desire that that an A.T.O.M. weekend will radically alter the trajectory of Christian lives. It is our prayer that people would see the world though God’s eyes and not return to the United States the same. God has used A.T.O.M. weekends in several people’s lives to help them see their role in
world evangelism. Is your group prepared?
